Challenge

To deliver an ever evolving, entertaining, high-impact hybrid experience to captivate in-person attendees and on-screen viewers of TikTok’s largest annual event, TikTok LIVE Fest.

Content and Broadcast

Solution

We delivered a multi-layered creative and technical solution that merged cinematic broadcast with reactive, engaging content designed for TikTok’s mobile-first audience.

For both the EU and Global ceremonies, we introduced the first-ever four-point wire cam rig at the Roundhouse, filming in both 4K and HD, capturing dynamic aerial shots which enhanced the viewing experience. Both live broadcasts were simulcast across 20 different platforms generating over 3.5million live views - a 30% increase on the year before.

The Global Awards show was crafted and directed by John Adams, integrating pre-recorded segments including interviews, dramatic lighting changes and over an hour of bespoke motion graphics. For the first time in the event’s history, we introduced a LIVE interactive battle, broadcast in person and online, pitting two leading creators from Germany and the UAE against each other for viewer engagement and entertainment.

We also curated content to bring digital engagement into the physical space such as an interactive step-and-repeat wall which greeted guests with their TikTok handle when scanned via their RFID wristband. That same wristband also linked to a 48-screen globe structure, creating a dynamic, real-time mosaic of attendees' LIVE streams.  

In addition to real time content for the live events, our team produced 12, original social videos, from talent-led promos with Jason Derulo and Zara Larsson to help drive sign-ups pre-event to backstage interviews and event sizzles which extended the impact long after the event had finished, generating 250 million+ views and 200k+ engagements.
