Challenge

To deliver ‘Year on TikTok 2023’, an annual event which celebrates the creators, partners and brands who’ve made the platform what it is today, whilst also driving awareness of all new features and products.

Solution

For the second year in a row, we curated an immersive TikTok world by creating a number of themed spaces, all inspired by viral trends from 2023 including ‘Accidentally Wes Anderson’ and ‘Tube Girl’.

Guests were invited to explore the retro kitsch environment and activations including 1min+ cinema, the TikTok Shop, Trend Diner and LIVE Studio - collecting stickers and capturing content along the way. The more stickers accumulated, the more swag they could bag.

The pinnacle of the experience was TikTok Trend Bingo which featured a dazzling cabaret performance from Reuben Kaye and a live set from renowned singer-songwriter Mahalia.
 
In-keeping with the retro vibe, our in-house studio produced a yearbook which featured the year's top trends and stand-out creators, for guests to take away to remember the night.
